what this site collects, and what it doesn’t.

We don't sell, rent, or trade data. We don't run ads. That isn't going to change.

potatoslicer.net is a static informational website. No accounts, no forms, no comments, no signup, no contact widget. We don't run analytics, advertising pixels, tracking scripts, third-party SDKs, or social-media embeds on this site.

The potatoslicer library and sequencer run entirely on your computer. They don't phone home, don't check for updates, don't ship telemetry, and don't open network connections on their own. Songs and layouts are written to your local filesystem.

The only data the website sees about you is what your browser sends to our web server when it asks for a page: an IP address, a User-Agent string, and which URL you requested. That's in standard nginx access logs and we use it to operate the service.

• No cookies are set by this site.
• No tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or analytics SDKs.
• No accounts to sign up for.
• No comment, contact, or signup forms.
• No fonts or assets loaded from third-party CDNs other than the small notdsk-cube animation in the footer.

The potatoslicer-client library and the potatoslicer sequencer app run entirely on your machine. They:

• Read and write song JSON files and layout JSON files on your local disk, wherever you point them.
• Render audio through your operating system's audio output.
• Do not open outbound network sockets on their own.
• Do not include any analytics or telemetry SDK.

Installing them via pip goes through the Python Package Index (PyPI). PyPI's own privacy policy covers what they log about installs; we don't see or receive anything from that channel.

The site is hosted on infrastructure operated by Spergs. The only third-party asset embedded on potatoslicer.net is the animated "made by notdsk" cube in the footer, loaded from x.allcdn.net, an asset CDN we also operate. No third-party trackers, ad networks, or social embeds.

The site and software are not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe we have, email privacy@spergs.com and we'll address it.

Because we don't run accounts or persist anything beyond standard server logs, there's almost nothing to request access to. If you'd like a copy of the access-log lines tied to your IP address, or you'd like them removed, email privacy@spergs.com and we'll handle it within a reasonable window. We try to respond to email requests within 30 days.

If you're in the EU/UK/California and unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection authority (the ICO in the UK; your national DPA in the EU/EEA; the California Attorney General's office for CCPA matters). We'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.

If something material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change would expand what we collect, it'll land here before it lands anywhere else.
